More Revenge of the Sith

May 22, 2005 4:39 PM

Although the time gap between Episodes III and IV is roughly 18 years, the last prequel ties the two trilogies together really well. Everything is set in place so that when you watch Episode IV: A New Hope, you will not miss anything. Also all the questions that Episodes I and II created are answered.

Well, I agree with most when they say that Revenge of the Sith is dark. Also very sad. Most Star Wars fans already know the plot of the movie, but until you see it you do not know how the plot is executed. It is sad to see how Anakin turns to the dark side.

Out of all the prequels, I would have to say that Episode III is my favorite. Because I feel that both trilogies are worthy, I cannot choose one movie to be the best. There are things I enjoy from all six. Now we just wait for the Star Wars Ultimate Edition DVD set, including all six movies and hours of bonus features. Maybe the Clone Wars animated features will also be included with the DVD set.

Star Wars

May 22, 2005 1:00 AM

Just got done seeing Revenge of the Sith. No, I didn’t bother with the midnight showing or also the first day showing. Since I do have a life outside Star Wars, I chose to wait. So I finally saw the movie with my dad, brother, and his friend. It is hard to find the right words to describe my feelings towards this movie. Now that it is over I get to reflect on the prequel trilogy.

I remember as a kid enjoying the original trilogy. I was not old enough to watch the original trilogy in the theater. I remember first hearing about the prequels. I was so excited because I could witness first hand anticipation and the thrill that comes with a Star Wars premier. I remember the teaser trailer for Episode I. I could not wait to see the movie. I saw each prequel about 5 times in the theater. If I had more money I would have watched it more.

There is no comparison between the two trilogies. They both are great in my opinion. Throughout the prequels I heard so much criticism towards the prequels and how the are horrible compared to the original trilogy. Many people were hoping that Episode III was going to be Episode I. I like how George Lucas made the prequels.

I will write more Star Wars later as I am tired and going to retire. It is sad to see the movies come to a close, but Star Wars will go on forever. Rumor has it that there is going to be a television spin off to tie in the gap between Episodes III and IV. We will have to wait and see. Until then, the suspense will grow while we all enjoy all six movies.

Tiger vs. Longhorn

May 03, 2005 12:37 PM

Apple ripping of Microsoft…Microsoft ripping off Apple…does it really matter? Also it sounds foolish that Microsoft says that Apple ripped off their ideas that they have been working on for the last few years, and yet Longhorn will not be offficially released for about 18 months.

Tiger is out now. If Apple, being a rather small company compared to Microsoft, got their product out first, then I find it hard to believe that Apple ripped off Microsoft. So Microsoft showed some features first. From what I have seen, Apple will most likely show something when they know that it works.

Random thoughts and loose ends

I haven’t updated my site lately, so here’s a rundown. I did not get the job at Apple. I am fine with it. I have went to Peachpit to get books for Apple certifications. Speaking of Apple, last Friday was the launch of Tiger, the next version of the world’s most advanced operating system. I was not fortunate to be at the Indianapolis store for the launch or to get a copy of Tiger.

I recently found out about a bug in the local iDisk sync process. Because I have internet through my cable provider, I disabled the local iDisk sync and work directly with my iDisk. Because of this problem, my site was not viewable on Firefox. It was asking to download a file. Since I disabled the local iDisk sync, my site loads up on Firefox and successfully validates as XHTML 1.0.

I have included comments in my posts, so feel free to send me some feedback. Also I will be including photos of April’s new Honda soon.
